A D&D World framed around a realistic, high fantasy, with an entirely homebrew world, and magic system. There is a ton of compatibility with official D&D 5e lore, but a lot of stuff is probably different than what you’re used to, so give it a read and immerse yourself!
There are 7 known continents in the Mortal Plane of Telorn, with massively different ruling powers and governments spread across them.
You might be acquainted with “The Weave” or the system for the soul in the Forgotten Realms. However, such concepts operate quite differently here.
If you read continents, you’ll probably know there are some important people in this world. Take a gander below to look at em’.
Started over a land dispute originating from Human greed, a war broke out between many of the nations of the continent of Calus Victorus. The war destroyed the ravaged the lands. The horrific battles that took place ended in a treaty between the New Age Brigade and The Veterans. The different empires and families would be given most of their taken land back from the beginning of the war, and many of the New Age soldiers and leaders would be given safe living environments in towns of their own, so that they could always be fair and just. Throughout the war, many innovations were made, like the K-series firearms, as well as the “modern” Warforged.
Calus Victorus is ruled in the modern day primarily by two groups House Dravalore, and The Palanign Empire. Those two houses can be found fighting for land in these territories. Dravalore mostly rules over the north, though he does have territories that connect in the south and south west, while the Palanign empires rules rule over most of the eastern side of Calus Victorus.
The Independent New Age Empire
For a brief time after the The Veteranic War, an empire was forged from the peace treaty struck at the end of the War. For a time it was a subsidiary of House Golair, but after the death of it’s leader, King Feros, as well as the entire line after him that would have picked up the mantle.
The following races contributed in the following ways:
Ponstus is the most northern continent. Ponstus is a very traditional continent, with most of the cultures within it still resorting to monarchies and kingdoms, even includes Lords and Nobles. Ponstus is not commonly home to adventurers, as most of the action that once plagued the continent was locked away by The Monolithic Occult long ago. That was, of course, until many world leaders were killed due to an ancient evil being revived, and a certain goliath gumming up the whole Monolith system. Now with all of the creatures that were once incapsulated by Monoliths being freed, the continent is overrun with monsters and chaos. Ponstus is currently under a bit of industrialization, as influence from strong trade partners like those from the Kingdom of Nemmoth, as well as wealthy visionaries bringing ideas to the barren tundra. The Kingdom of Ponstus is currently ruled by one “Univar Grove”, a man who recently completed a hostile military coup against the former king. He had been working as the kings tactician, and was in charge of leading and guiding the Knightly Orders of Ponstus. Currently, tensions are high, as many powerful towns and cities on the eastern side of Ponstus have grown distant to the word of the King, and operate on their own accord, only taking the most heinous of crimes or treason into consideration.
Endire is a very unlikely place for you to end up. Rather than a large connected continent, Endire is a group of islands and isles that have grouped and labelled themselves amongst one another. They have a very unique culture, and are the host to ancient vaults, which host the long lost civilization of the Vresheltians.
Madrig is an eastern continent that holds great wealth. Madrig is primarily housed by Dwarves and their culture, as well as the Kingdom of Nemmoth, House Dravalore, and The Golair Family.
Ragus Maggus, a content to the west of Calus Victorus, is a dry, dangerous, and humid continent, being primarily desert. Notably, it has no governing bodies.
Omnier is the extreme southern continent, and as things get cold as you go north, go far enough south and you achieve a similar result. Omnier is a cold, near Barren wasteland. Not many live here, not like they should. This continent is primarily housed by creatures of the non-humanoid variety, including Dragons, that rule the land.
